What is Microneedling?

Microneedling is also referred to as collagen induction therapy. It is a procedure which uses a single use sterile cartridge with 12 microscopic needles. The needles oscillate at different depths for different skin concerns and also change depending on what part of the face we are working on. For example, the skin on the cheek is thicker than the skin under the eye which enables us to treat the skin at a deeper depth. This helps to improve skin conditions such as: fine lines and wrinkles, acne scars, skin texture, loose skin, hyperpigmentation, and minimizes the appearance of pore size. A series of 3-6 customized microneedling treatments is recommended with maintenance for optimal results.

Does the Microneedling treatment hurt?

We apply a strong topical numbing cream for about 20 minutes to alleviate any discomfort from Microneedling. 

Will my face be red after the Microneedling treatment?

Your face will be red for 24-72 hours depending on how sensitive your skin is after Microneedling.

What will my face feel like after the Microneedling treatment?

This Microneedling treatment creates thousands of micro injuries and may feel like a mild sunburn. It is highly recommended to avoid direct sunlight for at least the first 72 hours after your appointment.

Is wearing sunscreen important after each treatment?

Applying sunscreen every day and reapplying sunscreen with continued sun exposure is highly recommended. It is extremely important to wear sunscreen and avoid direct sunlight 72 hours prior to each microneedling treatment and at least 72 hours post treatment.
